As we enter into 2025- people have all sort of resolutions. One of them might be the classic “which membership club should I join?”
And lo and behold- I may be the right person to answer that.
Why? Well- as you all know I am hospitality obsessed, a little too in the scene for my own good, and have worked with members clubs with Drinks First.
Since I have you here…
Details:
Sunday, January 19th 5-8pm (it’s a long weekend, don’t freak out)
Wear your winter whites
Ages 25-45
Our friends at Shabbat Club are joining us- run by my middle school best friend, and food influencer extraordinaire, Morgan Raum. Shabbat club is a pop-up dinner party series and community that brings young professionals together to celebrate Jewish culture in a modern way.
Disclaimer: This party is for friends, lovers, and everything in between—you do not need to be single (or Jewish) to attend.
New York City is home to a wide variety of exclusive members clubs, each offering its own unique atmosphere and appeal.
Here’s a rundown of some of the city's most notable members clubs, as discussed in my TikTok videos. Also for pricing info- I used chatGPT so take that with a grain of salt.
As you search for your “third place,” let me give you my unadulterated thoughts (for a price- welcome to my first paid post folks, a lot of work went into it so pls support lol):
Casa Cipriani
Location: Seaport/FIDI
Price: $4,000 - $5,000 annually
Casa Cipriani, located by the Seaport, is what I like to call “Escort City” (so much so they had to tell members to chill tf out with it). It is a beautiful and elegant setting though. And while it attracts both a younger and older crowd, the location puts it at a bit of a disadvantage since it's farther from the main action in the city (but it got them views).
The food is apparently worse than Cipriani- so I think we can assume pretty mid.
That said, Casa Cipriani has locations worldwide, including Milan and Miami (coming soon), which may appeal to members who travel frequently.
update: they are opening a pool
The 22
Location: East 16th Street, Union Square
Price: $1,800+ annually (under 30, local patron)
The 22, already a hit in London, has made its way to NYC, and it’s definitely one to watch. Still in the process of opening, the space already looks gorgeous and is backed by a hospitality team that knows what it’s doing.
With its chic vibe, this could give Chez Margaux a run for its money if it catches on with NYC’s “high society”. It is going to have a hotel, a work floor, a restaurant, and an events/late night programming space.
There will be a restaurant called Cafe Zaffri open to the public that is headed by the same team as Raf’s.
Update: apparently they fired their head of membership, and they are reviewing members really quickly. Caffe Zaffri now opened with some mixed reviews. Potentially this could be a flop.
Chez Margaux
Location: Near Soho House Meatpacking
Price: $1,500 - $2,000 annually
